County of Hawaii TA Tax Payments

This payment portal is used to make a payment to the County of Hawaii for the County portion of the Transient Accommodations Tax that you report on your State filed Transient Accommodations Tax Returns (TA-1 or TA-2).

In the event you report ZERO proceeds on your TA-1 or TA-2, no payment would be due to the County; therefore, NO ACTION IS NECESSARY ON THIS PAYMENT PORTAL.

About TA Tax Payments

This online payment portal has been provided by the County of Kauai, County of Hawaii, and County of Maui as authorized by Act 1, 1st Special Session 2021 (House Bill 862, H.D. 2, S.D. 2, C.D. 1). Payments for transient accommodations tax not within these jurisdictions will not be accepted. This site is to be used for making payments for the 3% County TAT only.

County of Kauai and County of Hawaii will be changing our payment processor. County of Maui changed their payment processor at the beginning of January 2024. As a result of this change, the Counties will no longer be accepting PayPal as a form of payment. This change for County of Kauai and County of Hawaii has been postponed.

§231-27 Partial payment of taxes. Whenever a taxpayer makes a partial payment of a particular assessment of taxes, the amount received by the department of taxation shall first be credited to interest, then to penalties, and then to principal.
